Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu  is an upcoming Telugu film written and directed by Puri Jagannath. The film stars Pawan Kalyan and Tamannaah in lead role and was launched in Hyderabad on March 14, 2012. Filming started from June 15, 2012.

It was announced on 14 March 2012 that Prakash Raj as Rana Babu, Brahmanandam, Ali, Tanikella Bharani and Kota Srinivasa Rao were cast for vital roles in the film. It was also reported that Pawan Kalyan would be seen in the role of a news reporter. Tamannaah is the female lead opposite Pawan Kalyan in this film.

Production & Development:-

Pawan Kalyan has previously worked with Puri Jagannath in Badri, which also was Puri's debut movie. After Badri, Puri Jagganath had expressed his desire to work again with Pawan Kalyan on many occasions. Initially the movies like Idiot, Amma Nanna Oo Tamil Ammayi, Pokiri, Golimaar were planned to be made with Pawan Kalyan and there were constant reports of them working together, none proved true. After the success of Puri Jagganath's Business Man, it was reported that Puri met Pawan later at his house. On 18 January 2012, Puri Jagganath announced on his Twitter account that Pawan had agreed to do a film with him and filming would begin in mid 2012. On January 25, 2012 Puri announced that the film would be produced by D.V.V. Danayya on Universal Media banner and that filming would begin in May 2012 after Pawan completes filming for Gabbar Singh. 

On 10 February 2012, Puri Jagganath revealed on his Twitter that he was in Bangkok and had completed writing the first half of the film. He also announced that the film would be titled Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu and released the logo of the film on his twitter. On 15 February 2012, it was reported that Puri has completed writing the script. The film was officially launched on 14 March 2012 at Puri Jagannath's office in Hyderabad. It was soon announced that S. R. Shekhar who worked for Puri's previous four movies will be handling the editing department and Shyam K. Naidu will work as the cinematographer for the film. It was also reported that Mani Sharma would give the soundtrack for the film. This would be Puri Jagannath's 25th film after he began his career in the year 2000 with Pawan's Badri.

Filming:-

Filming of the film is set to begin from second week of May 2012 after Puri finishes Devudu Chesina Manushulu. It was also reported that major part of the filming would take place in Hyderabad. The first schedule of the film started on June 15, 2012 at Saradhi Studios. A tough situation is being faced by the police to handle the crowd at shooting spot. The second schedule of the film began on July 9, 2012. As on end of August, filming of the entire talkie part has been completed and the shooting is scheduled to be wrapped up later in September after the remaining two songs in the film are shot.

Release Date:-

The film is scheduled to be released on October 18.

Pawan’s CGTR release on Oct 18

As expected, the release date of Pawan Kalyan-starrer Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu (CGTR) has been pushed back to October 18 - its original date. The film's release was initially planned for October 18 but was advanced to October 11 and has now been pushed back to October 18. Producer Danayya said that he's planning for a grand release with maximum number screens worldwide.

It was widely speculated that the film's audio launch will not take place and the songs will be directly released into the market. However, the makers are now strongly considering an audio function and an official announcement on this would be made soon.

The talkie part of the film has been completed and director Puri Jagannadh is currently wrapping up the final song, which is being shot at Annapurna Studios. Tamannaah is playing Pawan's love interest and Mani Sharma is providing the soundtrack.

'Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu' to be wrapped up by Sep 20

Producer DVV Danayya informs the world that 'Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu' is all done but three songs of the film is still left to finish. "A song is currently being filmed in a huge set erected at Padmalaya Studios. The remaining two songs will be filmed by Sep 20. We will release the audio in the third week of the September, 2012. The movie will be released worldwide on Oct 11," says DVV .

Music by Mani Sharma is a one of the awaited albums.

Besides Pawan and Tamanna in the title roles, the film sees Gabriel (Brazillian model) and Prakash Raj in key roles. Kota, Tanikella, Brahmanandam, Ali, MS, Dharmavarapu are part of the cast. So loads of comedy is guaranteed, besides Pawan's self-styled comedy.

The audio songs of power star Pawan Kalyan's forthcoming film Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu will be directing hitting the market on September 24, sans an audio function. Sources say that Pawan Kalyan has not given the nod for a grand audio release till now, and the chances of the actor giving the green signal for the ceremony are also bleak.

Telugu star Pawan Kalyan's work in progress Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu will have its music launch in mid-September.

The film, co-starring actress Tamannaah who is also appearing in the remake of Himmatwala with Ajay Devgn, will be released on October 11, a week later than it was meant to.

Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu is among the most anticipated films of the year. Pawan Kalyan already has a blockbuster to his name this year with Gabbar Singh, a remake of Salman Khan'sDabnagg.

Gabbar Singh shattered Telugu box office records and all eyes are on Pawan Kalyan, younger brother of superstar Chiranjeevi, to see if he can score a second strike.

The first look of Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu may be released on Pawan Kalyan's birthday, which is on September 2.

The audio songs launch ceremony of Pawan Kalyan's Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu has been pushed to September 24. Although, there's no official announcement in this connection, sources close to the production house inform that the makers are aiming for the film's audio launch on the above date. Reports further add that megastar Chiranjeevi will not be available for the audio, had it been on September 21, as a result, the makers have postponed the audio release of Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu.

So mega fans need to wait for some more time to see the Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan sharing the stage. The last time they shared the podium was for Gabbar Singh audio earlier this year. Mani Sarma has composed the music and Baba Sehgal's song Power song on Pawan Kalyan has also been added to the track list. Tamannaah is playing the female lead in this film, which also stars Prakash Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Ali etc. The film, directed by Puri Jagannath, is gearing up for a grand release on October 11.
