Ankit Fadia is Self proclaimed prodigy and ethical hacker. He calls himself a security expert. But Ankit Fadia is like many charlatans who gets published in one article and rides the wave of not only poor journalism but also his own hype.

For years, he has been quoted in low end online publications in India (his home country). Each time he is referenced as an 'expert' despite having no skills or accomplishments other than being quoted in these articles. No teenager has worldly experience that would qualify them as "knowledgeable" about an industry, let alone "expert". He certainly isn't worth the $15,001 - $25,000 fee per speaking engagement, peddling ten year old Windows novelty tricks called "hacks".

Ankit Fadia
To make matters worse, Fadia's FUD-based statements about "computer security" and "terrorism" are simply fear mongering to increase his visibility. He has not written any tool or software ever and never developed anything on his own.Fadia is not respected by security experts anywhere in the world. He claims that his textbooks are used as course books but they are not. He also claims his books are bestsellers but they appear nowhere in bestseller lists. He has never attended Defcon or Nullcon which are hacker conferences where all hackers meet up to share knowledge on various topics. Even in his own workshops, many students have claimed that he dodges the difficult questions thrown at him and comes up with extremely irrelevant answers. A detailed review of his seminar has been posted by a security expert. A detailed history of Ankit Fadia's career graph has been published inattrition.org (A website famous for exposing fake hackers.)

"Popular Indian hacker, Ankit Fadia's site hacked"
Ankit Fadia has been in the news for being one of India’s first ethical hackers. He has been recognized by a number of software companies. Reportedly, just a few days back, Ankit Fadia’s official site got hacked by a group called Team Grey Hat. The hackers seem to have gotten access to the files on his server. A Pastebin dump has been setup that shows screenshots of the files.
The note by the hacker group rubbishes Ankit Fadia as a hacker and his courses. The pastebin dump also mentions the database details, including the username and password used. The Hacker News claims that the site was also hacked by another hacker - Himanshu Sharma, who’s said to be well known in the circles at the age of 17.

Ankit Fadia was seen on several TV shows, recently as a host offering tech and security advice to his viewers. At the same time, there have been a bunch of other activities, such as writing security books, that have been published in the market. He’s also known to give talks and speak in seminars on security related topics. There have also been reports that books written by Ankit Fadia contain plagiarised content.
Ankit Fadia, "young hacker", "genius", and "author"

Ankit Fadia is like many charlatans who gets published in one article and rides the wave of not only poor journalism but also his own hype. For years, he has been quoted in low end online publications in India (his home country). Each time he is referenced as an 'expert' despite having no skills or accomplishments other than being quoted in these articles. No matter how bright this kid is, how much of a "prodigy" he supposedly is, he simply cannot be considered an "expert" in security. No teenager has worldly experience that would qualify them as "knowledgeable" about an industry, let alone "expert". He certainly isn't worth the $15,001 - $25,000 fee per speaking engagement, peddling ten year old Windows novelty tricks called "hacks". Ankit Fadia - Ethical Hacking
Fadia's resume and biography used to land him speaking engagements contains proven lies. The book that made him well known is a collection of poorly summarized tricks taken from public sources, with over 130 pages plagiarized. At least one subsequent book is also heavily plagiarized. Fadia has spent his entire career talking about hacking and security, but has not performed penetration testing, has not secured networks, and only offered pedestrian "hacking" training re-branded as a certification bearing his own name.

Authenticity of Claims:-
According to Wendy McAuliffe at ZDNet UK, Fadia's Hacking Truths website was judged "second best hacking site" by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, though no ranked list of "hacking sites" has been published by the FBI.

In 2000, Chennai Online reported that Fadia's consulting clients included several of the largest technology and financial services companies in the world. No other source corroborates that report; were it true, Fadia's client list would exceed that of many of the largest independent security consultancies. The same article reported Fadia's involvement in decrypting a message from an Al Qaeda operative; no other source corroborates that claim, nor does any of Fadia's published work involve cryptography or cryptanalysis.

In April 2000, Rediff.com published an interview with Ankit Fadia. Anti-India Crew (AIC), a Pakistani hacker group noted for defacing Indian Government websites, rubbished the claims that Fadia had made in the interview. Fadia had claimed that his alert to a U.S. spy agency had prevented an attack by Pakistani hackers. However, he never divulged the name of the agency, citing security reasons. AIC and another Pakistani hacker group WFD defaced an Indian Government site, epfindia.gov.in, and "dedicated" it to Fadia in mock deference to his capabilities to hack or prevent hacking.

Some security experts in India dismissed him as just another fad. Others claim that he is merely a Script kiddie. The website Attrition.org has a detailed page documenting and dismissing most of the claims made by Fadia.
In December 2009 Fadia's business site, hackingmobilephones.com appeared to be promoting pharmaceutical products for erectile dysfunction. Fadia said, "The problem lies in the server and all the sites hosted by it have been infected."

On January 10, 2012, his website for Ankit Fadia's Certified Ethical Hacking was attacked by The Roxcen Taurus ( Aroon Taurerian). The hackers claimed that "in short this kiddy has not only foolished innocent people also media and many big authorities." This Lamar is running a security training called AFCEH.The TeamGrayHat question is when and from where you get your certificate?"
On September 11, 2012, official website of Ankit Fadia was hacked by a 17 year old boy. Within few hours the whole website was taken down from the hosting servers.
Ankit Fadia on TV Shows:-
According to the DNA Newspaper article, in October 2009 MTV India announced the launch of Ankit Fadia's new TV show on MTV called What the Hack! According to the MTV India website, on the show What The Hack! Ankit Fadia gives tips on how to make good use of the internet and answers people's queries/questions. Internet users email their problems to MTV India and Ankit gives them the solution.

He claimed that a production company has approached him with a blanket offer.
