Collapse restricts India to 133:
& INDIA LOST THE MATCH...Pakistan won by 5 Wickets(with 2 balls remaining)
collapse....India dominated the bulk of the innings but imploded thereafter, as Pakistan gave themselves an excellent chance of winning the first match of their first bilateral tour of India in five years. A full house at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore reached peak decibel levels during an opening stand of 77 between Gautam Gambhir and Ajinkya Rahane that laid an ideal platform for India's strong middle order to push on towards a formidable score. But a Pakistan fightback produced an Indian collapse, and consequently silenced a 36,000-strong crowd. Nine wickets fell for 47 runs in less than eight overs during which Pakistan raised their game, their bowlers backed up by superb groundfielding.

India Vs Pakistan Gambhir & Rahane

Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal were the architects of that comeback, after being struck for sixes in their respective opening overs. Gul was smashed over midwicket by Gambhir, but had Yuvraj Singh caught in the deep off a slower ball in his new spell before removing two in two towards the death. Ajmal carted over extra cover by Rahane, but returned to dismiss MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina with quicker deliveries at a time when India would have backed themselves to reach a score of around or above 150.
They looked good for more when Rahane and Gambhir were going strong. Gambhir ceded floor to his junior partner, whose timing stood out, as he carted both seamers and spinners over extra cover with minimum effort. One such shot was a lofted drive off Ajmal for six; his preference for that area prompted Mohammad Hafeez to move a fielder to wide long-off, and it yielded a wicket when Rahane went after Shahid Afridi in the 11th over.

Gambhir had started picking up the pace but was caught short of the crease when attempting a second run in the 13th over. Sohail Tanvir returned a throw on the half-volley to Kamran Akmal, who collected well and dislodged the stumps. Virat Kohli and Yuvraj began well but fell trying to heave the seamers over square leg - left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Irfan got rid of Kohli to bag his first international wicket.

Ajmal's tricks against Dhoni and Raina, and the early run-out of Rohit Sharma, sent back by a direct hit from the deep, transformed India's game from one aimed at an aggressive charge to mere survival. India scored just one boundary in the last six overs, the first half of the game won by a team that hasn't played together in more than two months.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar Profile:
In his 11th first-class match, Bhuvneshwar Kumar registered his name in history books - by consigning Sachin Tendulkar to his first first-class duck in Indian domestic cricket. Although Uttar Pradesh, Bhuvneshwar's side, lost that 2008-09 Ranji final to Mumbai, Bhuvneshwar's season was one big gain for UP.
Bhuvneshwar is a right-arm medium-pacer who has the knack of extracting movement both ways with the new ball. His pace is not threatening, but he makes up for it with the movement. Barely two weeks after his 17th birthday, he made it to the UP senior side, after having spent two seasons with the Under-19 side. In his second season, he did well enough to regularly get the new ball ahead of either RP Singh or Praveen Kumar. His five-wicket haul in the 2008-09 final was a vindication of that trust. In his second first-class season, he also came through as an important lower middle-order batsman, making a jump from his usual tailender slot in junior sides.

Bhuvneshwar leads Central Zone fightback
In a sustained fightback, Bhuvneshwar Kumar carried Central Zone to within 10 runs of making the Duleep Trophy final with his maiden first-class hundred that was largely made in the company of the tail in Hyderabad.
Bhuvneshwar, the 21-year old Uttar Pradesh allrounder, came in at No. 8 with Central Zone trailing North Zone by 232. Thirty-two runs later, he lost his partner, wicketkeeper Mahesh Rawat, who had made 71, and had put on 102 for the sixth wicket with captain Mohammad Kaif (63).
At that stage, North Zone were three wickets away from a place in the final, with a comfortable lead of 200. But Bhuvneshwar found support from all the following batsmen - Praveen Kumar, Murali Kartik and Rituraj Singh. He added 42 and 49 for the eighth and ninth wickets with Praveen (27) and Kartik (22).

Central Zone were still trailing by 109, though, when legspinner Amit Mishra had Kartik caught by Yuvraj Singh to claim his fourth wicket. But North were to end the day in an ultimately futile search for the last wicket, as Bhuvneshwar and Rituraj thwarted them for more than 100 minutes in a partnership that is now worth an even 100 in just 21.5 overs.

In an innings that had now lasted more than four hours, Bhuvneshwar faced 225 deliveries, and struck 12 fours and three sixes. He batted smartly with the tail, even refusing three singles when he was on 99 to shield the last man Rituraj. North Zone did not help their cause by setting extremely defensive fields for Bhuvneshwar. During the closing moments of the day's play, they had as many as nine men in the deep, allowing Bhuvneshwar to effortlessly farm the strike. Rituraj played his role by denying North Zone off the 38 deliveries he faced.

North Zone were also generous with the extras, bowling 25 no-balls. Fifteen of those came from Mishra alone, who should have been called many more times had the umpire seen that he was cutting the return crease repeatedly with his back foot.

Sachin Tendulkar Retires from ODI Cricket. God of Cricket Quits One-Dayers. Sachin Tendulkar Latest News. Sachin Tendulkar Photos. Sachin Tendulkar Records. Sachin Tendulkar & Wankhade Stadium.God of Cricket can be no more appearing in ODI’s. Without Sachin Tendulkar we cannot go with ODI’s.Black Day for Indian Cricket(23/12/2012)
GOD of CRICKET Retires:
On the night of April 2, 2011, the Wankhede Stadium was more than a stadium. It was a wall of volume, a tidal wave of noise that began on land and spread towards the Arabian Sea in the West, as India won the World Cup after 28 years.
Then, the figure of Sachin Tendulkar was seen sprinting down from the dressing-room stairs onto the grass. From the other end of the field where we stood - my colleague Nagraj Gollapudi and I, at ground level - Tendulkar was a speck in a surging sea of specks.

Sachin Tendulkar Retires from ODI Internationals

Yet, driven to an insane joy they will probably never experience again, the crowd spotted the speck, one stand at a time. And the noise began to grow larger, as if it had a tangible, physical size. As if the air had expanded to fit in the sound of 40,000 lungs each calling out to Tendulkar, in a joyful sharing. The stadium, it felt, was about to be lifted off its architecturally solid foundations.
This was the last time Sachin Tendulkar played an ODI in India. It was his best of times in the game's short form. Yet he played ten ODIs after the World Cup final, which gave rise to much hand-wringing and teeth-gnashing and plaintive queries of "Why didn't he quit right then?"
The World Cup was Tendulkar's sixth, and his second final turned out to be successful. That would have been the ideal time to wave goodbye to the one-day game, a movie-script-finish, with thunderous music. But he didn't and maybe he will tell us why he didn't quit the ODI game right then. Or maybe he won't.

For any neutral Tendulkar observer/watcher/analyst, the decision to linger on and retire from ODI cricket 20 months after winning the World Cup must be handled like a DRS-free, 50-50 umpiring decision. Deal with it, buddy. The last 20 months could either be interpreted as Tendulkar's blip or blemish, his private battle against time or his stubborn refusal to surrender one half of his cricketing identity.
With the passing of time, though, the 20 months will pale against the monument created by Tendulkar's ODI career in its studious, raging pursuit. The numbers are formidable - 18,426 runs from 463 matches, 49 centuries, 96 fifties, at an average of 44.83 and a strike rate of 86.23 - and won't be matched. But the reason Tendulkar has become the standard by which batsmen must measure themselves in the limited-overs game requires the imagination to be stretched a little beyond those numbers.

Sachin Tendulkar Retires

"There was a doubt about whether he would play ODI cricket or not. But I am not surprised by his decision. He has done what he thought was right. I don't think there was any pressure of selectors on him. It is his own decision. No one can drop him."
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly
"Actually I am surprised. If he is continuing with international cricket (Tests) then he should have continued with ODI also. We play almost 25 ODIs in a season. It is very important to keep playing international cricket."

In limited-overs cricket, Tendulkar represents reinvention. Of form, of technique, of order, to some extent of the passage of time. His ODI career was crafted with a riotous method in the first half and scientific consistency in the middle. Towards the end, though, there came unexpected abandon. For everyone who thought they had understood Tendulkar and his approach to one-day batting, around the corner there lay surprise.
If statistics can be turned into symbols, Tendulkar's highest score fits all this perfectly: 200 not out, the first double-century in ODIs, scored in his 442nd one-day match, when he was two months short of his 37th birthday. In a sport growing younger and faster, 200 off 147 balls came from the most experienced man in the game.
Tendulkar's surge in ODI cricket - and in India's imagination - had much to do with his constant request to the team manager Ajit Wadekar to allow him to open the innings in 1994. He is believed to have said over and over again, "Give me one chance. One chance." The chance was given and Tendulkar and limited-overs batting and Indian cricket were forever transformed.

The advent of the attacking opener came to public notice at the 1996 World Cup through Sanath Jayasuriya and Romesh Kaluwitharana. Tendulkar did not have an opening partner to match his pace but by the time the 1996 World Cup began, he had played 32 ODIs as an opener, with four centuries and nine fifties, at a strike rate of 94.
He has often spoken of the impact his ODI batting had on his Test career, in improvisation, widening and making flexible the canvas of his strokeplay in both forms. His peak as an ODI batsman was always carbon-dated to Sharjah 1998, particularly as he chose to play the anchor's role at No. 4 for a while. As a returning opener, Tendulkar accumulated scores with consistency and fluency but without the Sharjah aggro. Yet, once past the cricketing dotage of 35, with injuries set aside, Tendulkar the ODI batsman turned up at the top of the order and smashed the clocks.
He won't play the ODI game anymore. His retirement from the short form, whether brought on by an inner voice or a nudge from the selectors, indicates that Tendulkar wants to give his Test match batsmanship another crack, against the Australians next year. It could be his final shot at reinvention.

Tendulkar, Indian emotion, and in the past couple of years some anguished questions, have always travelled together. As he brings his ODI career to a halt, here though are a few less anguished ones. Why didn't Tendulkar lose his way at the age of 25, having gone crazy with the adulation? Why didn't he turn into a boor or a prima donna? Or give the crowd the finger when they booed or heckled him, which they did? Or give up the hardship of Test cricket and coast, like he could have done, in ODIs? Stats cannot measure drive or ambition. Nor indeed its benefits or hindrances.
For the moment, though, a favourite memory of Tendulkar in ODI cricket. It is not the teenager whose cherubic cheeks bulged from under the helmet visor and who wielded his chunky bat like a razor-blade in a knife- fight. Or the "desert storm" of 1998, or the upper cut of Centurion, or even the speck in a sea of specks rushing down the steps at the far end of the Wankhede Stadium.
It lasted all of a few, fleeting minutes, in Jaipur. This was the match before the Gwalior 200 not out, the first of three 2010 ODIs against South Africa, who needed seven to win with two balls left. On the penultimate ball, Charl Langeveldt pulled one that travelled at speed past short fine leg. Tendulkar, on the boundary, ran full tilt towards the ball and flung himself, diving and sliding along the ground like he was 16, to get his hands on the ball. The batsmen had taken three and Tendulkar saved a single. India won that match by one run.

"Masters.423 matches, 23 yrs, 18426 runs !!!! These numbers no body else will be able to come close to.salute salute salute to Sachin."
India offspinner Harbhajan Singh, via Twitter

"I think he has obliged Indian cricket by retiring. The god has ultimately decided. Everybody is talking that he should retire. I suppose if I am playing cricket whether I am playing good or bad, the call has to be taken by the selectors."
Former Indian batsman Kirti Azad

"He is the best man to decide when to retire from other formats because he knows his body well. All this time people were asking when is he retiring? Now that he has announced his retirement from ODIs, people are asking why has he retired? I don't understand the Indian people."
Former India allrounder Bapu Nadkarni

''When you've played 23 years of international cricket, a time comes when ODIs don't excite you anymore as you have achieved everything that you possibly could have. Sachin has also won the World Cup, therefore his decision is understandable.''
Former Pakistan captain and commentator Rameez Raza

Vidya Balan (pronounced  born 1 January 1978) is an Indian film actress who appears in Hindi, Bengali, and Malayalam language films. At age sixteen, Balan landed her first acting role, in the sitcom Hum Paanch (1995). After making several unsuccessful attempts to start a career in film, she acted in television commercials and music videos. In 2003 she made her feature film debut with the independent Bengali drama Bhalo Theko.

Vidya Balan gets married to Siddharth Roy Kapoor:
Actress Vidya Balan is said to have married Siddharth Roy Kapur, the managing director of Studios, Disney UTV, in an early morning ceremony at a temple in Chembur on Friday. It was a very private affair attended only by the family members of both sides, reported Mid-Day.
Balan's marriage has been the most closely guarded and fiercely protected occasion in Bollywood in recent times. The families were tight-lipped about the ceremonies and the actress even opted for a private mehndi ceremony at her Khar residence on Wednesday night. It was attended by her family members, and Vidya's favourite, veteran actress Rekha marked her presence.
Vidya wore a yellow sari in typical Bengali style with floral ornaments. She even chose to go simple with her mehdni - rather than the usual full-hand intricate design, Vidya went with round blobs of henna on her palm.

They had a private family dinner on Tuesday night. A wedding reception will reportedly be held in Chennai on Saturday. If grapevine is to be believed, the nuptials will be conducted both in Punjabi and south Indian styles.
The engagement saw her wearing a gold and maroon South silk, her hair open, standing beside a beaming Kapur. According to media reports, the temple rituals were observed in traditional Tamil style.

Vidya Balan’s much-anticipated marriage to UTV CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur happened earlier today at the Green Mile bungalow in Bandra.

The 'Kahaani' and 'Dirty Picture' star is now Mrs Siddharth Roy Kapur.

While early reports seemed to suggest that the marriage had taken place at 4.45 am at the Sri Subramania temple in Chembur, preparations for the ceremony were happening at a bungalow in Bandra.

The initial reports seem to have been a throw-off in a bid to keep the proceedings as private as possible.

The wedding ceremonies took about an hour and is rumoured to have been a mix of Punjabi and South Indian styles. The bride wore a mustard saree with a green border and a pink blouse, designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The groom wore a yellow kurta and a pink turban.

Vidya changed sarees thrice during the wedding ceremony, and one of them, as mentioned earlier, was a mustard one with a pink blouse. She was also seen in a red and gold silk saree.

The wedding festivities for the couple began on December 11 with a private dinner which was followed by a mehendi ceremony on December 12th. The couple will be hosting a reception in Chennai.

Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur never went over-board displaying their love for each other.
Bollywood actress Vidya Balan and Disney (UTV Motion Pictures) CEO, Siddharth Roy Kapur finally tied the knot today (Friday) in a very private affair.

There were various reports suggesting various venue for the marriage ceremony.

Some reports suggested that it happened in Bandra but latest updates reveal that it happened in a temple in Chembur.

Vidya Balan's residence is also at Chembur. Sources reveal that Vidya was wearing a sari designed by her favorite designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
Thankfully the Bollywood celebrity bandwagon was not the focus this time and the press will not get the pleasure of discussing who wore what and who bumped into whom.

The focus was on the wedding of two people in love, just like the way it should be.

The wedding was kept a very private affair with only family members and close friends present.

Earlier this week, the couple had hosted a private family dinner, followed by a mehendi ceremony on December 12.

The only celebrity who was seen attending Vidya's mehendi was veteran actress Rekha.

Rekha wore a green and red order silk saree and as usual kept her hair open with minimal jewellery.

There is a possibility that the couple could have a separate reception event where possibly Bollywood industry could be invited.

Vidya Balan Marriage Pics:

Complete Story:
As a hormonal teenager growing up in the 1970s, I was so enamoured of Shabana Azmi that I took up the courage to write to her with a suggestion that we elope. She was some 14 years older than I, and not quite the star she later became, but something about her – perhaps a mix of the cerebral and the sultry – stirred me up in curious ways. And in the spirit of the precocious boy Erasmus Leaf in the endearing film Dear Brigitte, who is infatuated with Brigitte Bardot and writes epistles of love, I wrote to Shabana and poured my heart out.
I never received so much as an autographed photograph from her, which left me broken-hearted, which pain was amplified years later when I learnt that she had married a poet named Javed Akhtar.
But one of the points I emphasised in my letter to Shabana, I recall, was that I would be perfectly happy to settle for a sherbet wedding – a simple, no-frills wedding. This was as much a concession to my penurious state as to the fact that during the Emergency, which had been in force about that time, the government had introduced a Guest Control Order, which stipulated a ceiling on the number of guests who could be invited even to private ceremonial events like weddings.
It was a time of enforced socialist austerity, and everything was strictly rationed. And if you needed additional provisions or sugar or ghee to prepare sweetmeats for a wedding, you had to file an application in triplicate with the Civil Supplies Department. And since Indira Gandhi’s minions ran a pretty efficient police state, civil supplies inspectors would turn up unannounced at weddings and – I kid you not – do a head-count of the number of visitors and levy a fine if they exceeded the ceiling. I remember my aunt was married in 1976, when the Emergency was in full force, and my siblings and I were put on sentry duty to sound early warning alerts in case we espied the inspectors coming. Needless to say, it took the joy out of the festive occasion for us.

Others elsewhere across India, of course, had far worse experiences of the Emergency, but it says something about those perverse times that they reduced even a 12-year-old such as I to a nervous wreck at what was to have been a joyous occasion.
Nevertheless, although I detest the notion of enforced austerity to this day, particularly when it is characterised by hypocrisy and double-speak, the realisation that there may be some merit in the voluntary curtailment of conspicuous consumption, particularly on weddings, has stayed with me over the years.
Many years later, when I did get married, in far more material times, it was an event of such spartan simplicity – solemnised by an Arya Samaj priest on the foyer of my wife’s parents’ home – that even if a posse of Emergency-era civil supplies inspectors had raided the premises, they would have been satisfied by the low head-count of invitees.
Which is why I’m profoundly gratified by the news that Vidya Balan had a temple wedding this morning, attended by only a handful of immediate family members.
Weddings are, of course, intensely personal affairs, and like I said earlier I don’t much care for enforced austerity. But to me, the solemnity of the occasion is inversely proportional to the scale of operations. And although I enjoy a lavish Sooraj Barjatya production, with four weddings and as many suhaag raats, as much as the next man, I have to admit that some of the most solemn wedding ceremonies I’ve attended have been at austere temple weddings – of the sort that Vidya Balan gave herself.
As actor Aamir Khan noted after one of his Satyamev Jayate episodes, “‘Bade dhoom dhaam se shaadi,’ is probably one of the most common phrases in India. There’s so much of emotion, thought, focus, all concentrated on the ‘event’: ‘How will I look on that one day?’ ‘How will society perceive me and my chosen partner?’ ‘What will they say about the wedding arrangements?’ ‘What will they say about the invitation card?’ ‘What will they say about the food?’ ‘What will they say about the clothes?’”
But, as he observed, not enough consideration goes into the lifetime that the married couple will hopefully spend together.
The higher up the social ladder you are, the better off you are, the greater the societal pressure to have a vanity wedding. And of course, economists will tell you that big fat Indian weddings keep the wheels of commerce spinning in a good way. But it’s just as true that among much of middle-class and lower-middle-class India, the compulsions of lavish weddings push entire families into indebtedness.

Career Profile:
In 2005 Balan garnered praise for her first Hindi film, Parineeta, and followed it with a leading role in the blockbuster Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006). Her subsequent portrayal of glamorous characters in the films Heyy Babyy (2007) and Kismat Konnection(2008) met with negative comments from film critics. The year 2009, however, marked the beginning of the most successful period in Balan's career as she portrayed five consecutive roles to wide critical acclaim in Paa (2009), Ishqiya (2010), No One Killed Jessica (2011), The Dirty Picture (2011), and Kahaani (2012). These roles have earned her the tag of a "female hero" and established her as a leading contemporary actress of Hindi cinema.
Balan has received one National Film Award, four Filmfare Awards and four Screen Awards. She initially drew criticism for her fluctuating weight and poor dress sense, but was later credited in the media for retaining her individuality and breaking stereotypes of a Hindi film heroine. Balan is a social activist and supports the empowerment of women. On 14 December 2012, she married film producer Siddharth Roy Kapur.

Bangladesh won the Sahara Series Cup. Bangladesh Cricket Livescorecard. Bangladesh Cricket Livestreaming. Bangladesh Cricket Photos. Bangladesh Cricket Latest News. Bangladesh Sahara Cup. Bangladesh Cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim. Bangladesh Cricketer Mahmudullah.
Bangladesh hold nerve to win series
Bangladesh's batsmen held it together, but only just. After failing to chase 211 last night, they overcame three difficult phases in their pursuit of a target of similar proportion, to win a series they had led 2-0 but almost let slip out of their grasp. Twenty-four hours after their fans exited Shere Bangla in despair, the stadium was a venue of riotous celebration, as Nasir Hossain carved the winning boundary to drag his team to a two-wicket victory and claim the series against West Indies 3-2.
Bangladesh Cricket Livescorecard Livestreaming Photos Latest News Sahara Cup Mushfiqur Rahim
Bangladesh won the series with 3-2

There was chaos at the finish. With one run needed, Nasir smashed the ball over cover and raised his arms in triumph as he completed the winning run. His partner, the No. 10 Elias Sunny, however, did not make it to the other end because he thought the ball had gone for four. The fielder in the deep returned it and Kieran Powell uprooted a stump amid the celebrations. Darren Sammy's protests that a run had not been completed prompted the umpires to check. No run had indeed been completed; nobody had been run out either. Everyone took their positions again and Nasir's slashing bat sparked off another round of celebrations.
The confusion in those final moments was in contrast to the calm with which Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah and Nasir steered a tense chase, after Bangladesh's bowlers had recovered admirably from a Kieron Pollard battering.
Chasing 217, Bangladesh were 30 for 3 in the ninth over, the top order unable to withstand Kemar Roach's pace and bounce. The previous evening, the collapse had ended only when the hosts were shot out for 136, but not in this deciding contest.
The shift in momentum was immediate; Mushfiqur and Mahmudullah scored 29 runs off the 11 balls following Jahurul's dismissal. West Indies' bowling was poor: their lengths were too short and their lines were scattered outside off and down leg side, resulting in 18 wides. They had conceded 26 extras in each of the previous three ODIs; they gave away 27 today.
Sammy, who excelled with bat and ball in the fourth match, leaked 16 runs in the tenth over. He conceded six runs in wides, bowled a long-hop that Mahmudullah pulled for four and a half-volley that was driven to the cover boundary. The change bowlers also struggled. Andre Russell pitched short and wide and was cut twice by Mushfiqur to the boundary. Sunil Narine bowled five tight balls in his first over before the sixth was loose and punished. Roach returned for his second spell in the 19th over and he too conceded two boundaries.
Mushfiqur and Mahmudullah ran hard between the wickets, and cut and pulled forcefully. Only when they had added 91 at better than a run a ball did West Indies have any respite. Both batsmen were bowled by Narine in their 40s and Bangladesh were in front no more.

After 30 overs in the first innings, West Indies had been 145 for 3. Bangladesh, at the same stage of their chase, were 148 for 5. West Indies had collapsed thereafter, though, while Bangladesh did not.
Nasir, in the company of rookie Mominul Haque, added 53 for the sixth wicket. They consolidated at first, and, once the batting Powerplay was taken in the 36th over, they attacked. Nasir slogged Veerasammy Permaul over the midwicket boundary to bring the runs required to fewer than 40. And when Mominul was dismissed with Bangladesh close, Sohag Gazi took then closer with quick boundaries. He too fell, but Nasir stayed the course.
Presentation:
Sammy Congratulations to Bangladesh, they played well. We were in a good position to score 240 but we did not get there. We have had a good year but this might put a dent on our Christmas. But everything happens for a reason and hope to improve. The batting of Powell, Pollard and Roach getting a five-for, all of them are positives. We have one more game to go and hope to finish the series on a high.
Mahmudullah, man of the match Was worried when I got out but Nasir played well, was nervous in the dressing room. No thinking, play your game and take advantage of the bad ball. Happy with my contributions, that is what matters and that we won the series. I want to thank the crowd, they were fantastic.

Bangladesh Players in Joy of Winning the Sahara Series

Rahim Boys stuck to the task, had said will be the test of nerves and happy to execute our plans. Last two games did not bat well, we needed to do the right things in all three departments. I thought today we did a good job after losing the first three wickets.
Rahim is also declared the man of the series!
Right so that makes it an excellent series win for the home team, who looked like they were down and out after West Indies came back from being 0-2 down to level the series. Then again, when Pollard was taking on the bowling today, it was again advantage West Indies but Bangladesh have clawed back really well to win it, hats off to their superb show.
Both teams are out and shaking hands, the Bangladeshis understandably cock-a-hoop and the players are dancing to the music on the field, all of them!

'Delight in downturn Dhaka despite Pollard assaul'

The stumping
Mushfiqur Rahim's emphatic stumping of Kieran Powell, when seen through the stump-cam, showed the impact of the wicketkeeper's force on all three stumps. It uprooted two stumps, leaving just the one with the camera intact. Perhaps it was the result of frustration of seeing Powell escape with a few near misses in the previous overs. In the 3rd ODI, Mushfiqur had also stumped the same batsman although on that occasion the bails were whipped off much gently.
The release
After the first three overs yielded 17 runs and a wicket, West Indies fell into a hole of 34 balls without scoring. It cost them two big wickets, those of Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels. The spell that began in the fourth over ended in the middle of the ninth over when Darren Bravo cut Sohag Gazi for a boundary.
The execution
Kieron Pollard said after the first ODI that the next time he got a repeat of the short delivery which had just dismissed him he would hit it to Dhaka. He hadn't done anything of that sort in the subsequent three games. He finally hit his first six on tour, a swing of the forearms that took the ball to the midwicket boundary. He hit seven more - and some indeed, as promised, were in the direction of downtown Dhaka - before he was bowled by Mominul Haque.
The favourite
Kemar Roach took Tamim Iqbal's wicket for the sixth time in ODIs, the batsman he has dismissed the most. This was the second time Roach has removed the Bangladesh opener in two days, having also beaten him by pace on Friday. Roach is also one of two bowlers who have dismissed Tamim the most, the other being Ray Price.
The elevation
Mahmudullah batted at No. 5 for only the second time in his ODI career. He made 45 and added 91 runs for the fourth wicket with Mushfiqur Rahim. It helped Bangladesh stage another recovery from a top-order collapse which had them reeling at 30 for 3 in the ninth over, three overs later than when Mahmudullah had arrived at the crease in the fourth ODI.
The drop
Bangladesh have dropped six catches in the last two games of the series, but neither did West Indies do themselves any favours when Veerasammy Permaul dropped Sohag Gazi at a critical stage, in the 40th over, when Bangladesh were crawling towards the 218-run target. It was a hard drive that just popped out of Permaul's grasps, giving the sell-out home crowd another reason to cheer.

'Strong quake hits off Japan near Fukushima disaster zone'
TOKYO (Reuters) - A strong quake centred off northeastern japan shook buildings as far away as Tokyo on Friday and triggered a one-metre tsunami in an area devastated by last year's Fukushimadisaster, but there were no reports of deaths or serious damage.
The quake had a preliminary magnitude of 7.3, the U.S. Geological Survey said, and thousands of coastal residents were ordered to evacuate to higher ground, but the tsunami warning was lifted two hours after the tremor struck.
The March 2011 earthquake and following tsunami killed nearly 20,000 people and triggered the world's worst nuclear crisis in 25 years when the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear plant was destroyed, leaking radiation into the sea and air.
Workers at the plant were ordered to move to safety after Friday's quake. Tokyo Electric Power Co , the operator of the Fukushima nuclear plant, reported no irregularities at its nuclear plants.

All but two of Japan's 50 nuclear reactors have been idled since the Fukushima disaster as the government reviews safety.
The quake measured a "lower 5" in Miyagi prefecture on Japan's scale of one to seven, meaning there might be some damage to roads and houses that are less quake resistant.
The scale measures the amount of shaking and in that sense gives a better idea of possible damage than the magnitude. The quake registered a 4 in Tokyo
The one-metre tsunami hit at Ishinomaki, in Miyagi, at the centre of the devastation from the March 2011 disaster. All Miyagi trains halted operations and Sendai airport, which was flooded by the tsunami last year, closed its runway.
Five people in the prefecture were slightly injured.
"I was in the centre of the city the very moment the earthquake struck. I immediately jumped into the car and started running away towards the mountains. I'm still hiding inside the car," said Ishinomaki resident Chikako Iwai.
"...I have the radio on and they say the cars are still stuck in the traffic. I'm planning to stay here for the next couple of hours."
There are vast areas of Ishinomaki that still have not been cleaned up since last year's tsunami. Many houses lie in ruins, full of rubble. Workers by the shore still sort through thousands of cars that were swamped and destroyed. The cars are piled up and being taken apart for parts and scrap.

A QUAKE EVERY FIVE MINUTES:
Narita airport outside Tokyo was back in action after a brief closure for safety checks. There were small tsunamis, measuring in the centimetres, elsewhere near the epicentre.
Last year's quake, which measured 9.0, triggered fuel-rod meltdowns at Fukushima, causing radiation leakage, contamination of food and water and mass evacuations. Much of the area is still deserted.
The government declared in December that the disaster was under control.
"Citizens are now escaping to designated evacuation centres and moving to places on higher ground," office worker Naoki Ara said in Soma, 30 km (18 miles) from the Fukushima-Daiichi plant.
Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda cancelled campaigning in Tokyo ahead of a December 16 election and was on his way back to his office, but there was no immediate plan to hold a special cabinet meeting.
Public spending on quake-proofing buildings is a big election issue.
Japanese were posting photos of their TV screens with tsunami warnings on Facebook, asking each other whether they're safe, confirming their whereabouts.
"It shook for a long time here in Tokyo, are you guys all right?" posted Eriko Hamada, enquiring about the safety of her friends.
Phone lines were overloaded and it was difficult to contact residents of Miyagi.
"Owing to the recent earthquake, phone lines are very busy, please try again later," the operator said.
The yen rose against the dollar and the euro on the news, triggering some safe-haven inflows into the Japanese currency.
Japan is one of the world's most earthquake-prone countries, with a tremor occurring at least every five minutes.
Located in the "Ring of Fire" arc of volcanoes and oceanic trenches partly encircling the Pacific Basin, the country accounts for about 20 percent of the world's earthquakes of magnitude 6.0 or greater.
Tokyo, with a population of 12 million, sits on the junction of four tectonic plates: the Eurasian, North American, Philippine and Pacific. The sudden bending or breaking of any plate can trigger an earthquake.
Japan quake: Tsunami warning lifted, 5 injured
Latest
The Japan Meteorological Agency has lifted a tsunami warning issued for northeastern Japan after a strong earthquake centred off the coast shook buildings as far away as Tokyo, public broadcaster NHK said.
The quake had a preliminary magnitude of 7.3, the US Geological Survey said. There were no immediate reports of deaths or serious damage.
Earlier
A one metre-high tsunami hit northeast Japan on Friday, after a powerful undersea quake struck off the coast which was devastated in last year's quake-tsunami disaster.
Meteorologists said the wave swept ashore at just after 6 pm in Ishinomaki, a city badly hit by the 2011 tsunami that wrecked a large swathe of the northeast coast, killing thousands.

Japan- Tsunami Warning Lifted

There were no immediate reports of any fatalities after the 7.3-magnitude quake that was followed by a 6.2 aftershock, according to the United States Geological Survey.
Residents of at least one town, Minamisanriku in Miyagi prefecture, were advised to get to safety, with reports suggesting other towns were also affected.
"We are now calling on people to evacuate to higher ground," town official Ryuichi Omori told AFP:
"It's already pitch dark here. Phones — both landlines and mobiles — are not going through now, which makes it difficult to see people's movement.
"The quake was not so big although it felt very (strong). It was not big at all compared with last year's earthquake. The town office is now setting up a disaster taskforce."
A presenter on state broadcaster NHK repeatedly told viewers to get to safety after the initial tremors, which set Tokyo buildings swaying violently.
"Remember last year's quake and tsunami," he said. "Call on your neighbours and flee to higher ground now!"
NHK, quoting the national meteorological agency, said the tsunami was expected to hit the coast of Iwate at 5:40 pm, Fukushima at 5:50 pm, and Aomori and Ibaraki at 6:00 pm.
The 7.3 quake struck 36 kilometres under the Pacific, USGS said.
The epicentre was 284 kilometres east of Sendai, or 459 kilometres northeast of Tokyo, according to the USGS.
NHK said the Japan Meteorological Agency had issued a tsunami warning, one notch lower than a tsunami alert, for the Pacific coast of Iwate, Fukushima, Aomori and Ibaraki prefectures.
There was no threat of a Pacific-wide tsunami, US monitors based in Hawaii said. Officials in both Indonesia and the Philippines south of Japan said there was no threat of a localised tsunami.
Nuclear plant operator Tokyo Electric Power told AFP there were no reports of any problems at the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant.
"No abnormalities have been recorded on instruments at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant's six reactors," a TEPCO spokesman said.
"All workers were ordered to take shelter inside buildings at the Fukushima plant.
"No abnormalities were confirmed with the radiation monitoring posts at the Fukushima plant. No abnormalities were seen with the water processing facilities."
Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda was heading to his office where he would be monitoring the situation, Jiji Press said.
Japan Railways East temporarily suspended Shinkansen bullet train services to check any damage, Jiji said, while Haneda Airport near central Tokyo was reported to be operating normally.
Yen rises against euro and dollar after Japan earthquake
LONDON: The yen rose against the dollar and the euro on Friday after a powerful earthquake struck Tokyo, triggering some safe-haven inflows into the Japanese currency.

The dollar fell to a session low of 82.175 on trading platform EBS, from around 82.35 beforehand. It then recovered to trade at 82.30 yen, still down 0.1 percent on the day.

The euro also fell to a session low of 106.21 yen with traders citing selling by macro-funds after news of the earthquake and subsequent Tsunami warning. It was last trading at 106.45 yen, down 0.4 percent on the day.

The euro's losses against the yen also dragged the single currency to a nine-day low against the dollar of $1.29185.

Tsunami warning lifted for strong Japan earthquake

The warning was issued after a magnitude 7.3 quake struck offshore at 5:18 p.m. (0818 GMT) Friday, swaying buildings across much of Japan. There were no immediate reports of serious damage but two people were reportedly hurt.
After the quake, authorities issued a warning that a tsunami potentially as high as 2 meters (2.2 yards) could hit. Ishinomaki, a city in Miyagi, reported that a tsunami of 1 meter (1 yard) hit at 6:02 p.m. (0902 GMT).
About two hours after the quake struck, the tsunami warning was cancelled.

Strong earthquake shakes northeastern Japan, no injuries reported
TOKYO, JAPAN (AP) -- There have been no immediate reports of major damage in Japan, after a strong earthquake struck off the northeastern coast.
The Japan Meteorological Agency says the earthquake had a preliminary magnitude of 7.3 and struck in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Miyagi prefecture.
The epicenter was 6.2 miles beneath the seabed. It's the same region that was hit by a massive earthquake and tsunami last year.
One city in the region (Ishinomaki) has reported that a small tsunami of about three feet hit about 45 minutes after the quake.
But, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says there's no risk of a widespread tsunami. Public television broadcaster NHK reports at least two people were injured, though officials have not confirmed any numbers.
Shortly before the earthquake struck, NHK television broke off regularprogramming to warn that a strong quake was due to hit. Afterward, the announcer repeatedly urged all near the coast to flee to higher ground.
