The sight of Ileana washing a pink car wearing denim hot pants
and burgundy boots with the camera zooming from behind is the highpoint of this
movie. Brazilian bombshell Gabriela Bertante's titillating item number comes a
close second. It's a farce comedy that is made with the spirit of a spoof.
Puzzled? There is an oft-quoted adage about chaos theory that says a butterfly
flapping its wings in China can cause a hurricane in Barbados. In this movie Lord Vishnu shows
how a banana peel can have a similar effect on a love story.
The movie opens in Vaikuntam (the abode of lord Vishnu), with the god promising to show an amusing story to wife (Kovvai Sraala). Ravi Teja is an orphan who grows up to be a freelance negotiator in Hyderabad. He fixes everything from domestic issues to real estate deals. Then there is Ileana, another orphan who drives a cab in Bangkok. An accident caused by a banana peel leads Ravi Teja to Bangkok, to broker a truce between Subba Raju and a Bangkok based don Prakash Raj who suffers from "Tetrahedral cannabinol" (get the joke?), because of which he keeps forgetting who he is from time to time.
So our man lands in Bangkok and falls in love with Ileana. He manages to crack the deal but falls out with Prakash Raj who takes a fancy to Ileana. Ravi beats the living daylights out of his gang only to be spurned by Ileana. Then gods decide to play, well, god, which is what the second half is about.
Director Puri Jagannath said earlier that this movie has no story, but then the film falls flat on the entertainment front as well. The jokes fail to tickle except for a couple of episodes involving Brahmanadam and Ali. The writing is insipid and the narrative a little too hotchpotch.
The performances are average at best. Ravi Teja is his usual hyper charged self but even his most animated histrionics fail to draw applause. He's perhaps getting a little too repetitive. Ileana has a few moments that get the galleries to whistle, but has little else to do. The music turns out to be a bore and the action sequences just fail to register like most other departments.

In Detail:-
Puri
Jagannath, who has given big break to Ravi Teja with Idiot and Amma, Nanna O
Tamila Ammayi, is a great director, who could dish out blockbusters like Pokiri
and Businessman. But he appears quite crazy in his latest film Devudu Chesina
Manushulu. It seems his mind has become blank and out of ideas by the time he
was about to pen a story for Ravi Teja's film.
The story of Devudu Chesina Manushulu begins when Lakshmi (Kovai Sarala)
asks Lord Vishnu (Brahmanandam) to tell her an interesting and entertaining
story. He begins the story with Ravi Teja (Ravi Teja), a settlement broker. One day Subba Raju (Subba
Raju) steps on the peel of a bananathrown by Papayya (MS Narayana)
on the road, and kills Sandy a close associate of Bangkok don Prakash Raj
(Prakash Raj). Subba Raju asks Ravi Teja to broach a settlement between him and Prakash. Ravi Teja
meets Prakash Raj in Bangkok, where he falls in love with Telugu-speaking taxi
driver Ileana (Ileana). Prakash Raj in order to accept Ravi Teja's offer wants
Ileana for him for a night. What happens next will form an interesting portion
of the movie.
Performance:-
Ravi
Teja has delivered best performance and Puri Jagannath's punch dialogues help
him to maintain good comedy timing. Mass Maharaja has completely utilised his
energy levels and made use of the action backdrop to keep the mass audiences
stay calm in their seats. Ileana has filled the glamour slot. She has no scope
for performance. Prakash Raj has done justice to his role. Brahmanandam and
Kovai Sarala have good in their roles, but the director has played with Gods'
characters with the comedians. Junior Relangi, Ali and MS Narayana have also
done good job.

Technical:-
Senior cameraman Shyam K Naidu has excelled once again in the cinematography
and captured the beauty of Bangkok. On other hand, he has nicely highlighting
the glamour of Ileana in thesongs.
SR Sekhar's editing is commendable. Vijay's action is another good feature in
the film. Raghu Kunche has given good tunes to the songs, but his background score is
very poor.
It is Puri Jagannath, who has spoiled the entire mood of the film by
dumping a non-sensical subject on them. It is clearly visible that he has ran
out of ideas while starting off the film and by the time of interval bang, once
again his mind goes blank. He doesn't know how to continue the film and he
starts it afresh, some how linking the subject. Of course, he has admitted that
he started the film without any story. The screenplay of the film too is
atrocious.
Remarks:-
Watch
the film only if you are a hardcore fan of Ravi Teja. The film can be watched
for Puri Jagannath's punch dialogues and Ileana's glamour. After a long time,
you feel that you spent your valuable time and money unnecessarily on a Ravi Teja's film.
